Course Description
The Antelope Island Marathon has four distances. Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K.
All the distances are on Antelope Island. Antelope Island is home to 600 bison and the largest island on the Great Salt Lake. This course is a true marathon in that it is not all downhill like many. There are several rollers for the runners. The views of the race have the Great Salt Lake to the East and Antelope Island mountain on the West. All four courses start and end at the same location near the marina. They all run on the same route however the 5K turns around at Mile 1.55, 10K at Mile 3.1, Half at Mile 6.55 and Full at Mile 13.1. Aid Stations every 1.5 to 2 miles along the route. These include Water, Powerade, Porta Potty, and Aid Station Kit. Aid Station Kits include Feminine Napkins, Bandaids, Body Lube, Muscle Rub and for this race bug spray if needed. GU Gels at Mile 6.55 and returning at 19.65. Oranges at Mile 10 and returning at Mile 16.1.
